We are extremely proud of our teachers and support employees for all they do to help our students shine. And we are proud to serve as a major support department to help all employees do the best job they can with available resources. We hope that our web site and its links will provide useful information to help you do your job and to help with your personal goals.
If you cannot find the information you need within our web site and other support office web sites, please let us know by email. The Finance Department thanks you for all you do for our students. Please let us know what additional information would be helpful to you!

W2's are currently being processed and will be distributed with the January 30, 2009 payroll. If you are a non-contracted worker or have resigned from Suffolk Public Schools, your W2 will be mailed to your address on file.
VRS Member Benefit Profile - Now Available Online
The annual VRS Member Profiles are now available to all employees online. Paper Member Benefit Profiles will only be sent to support-department employees. All employees should go to VRS website and click on Members to view various information provided by VRS, including the individual Member Benefit Profiles, retirement calculators and information on life insurance benefits. To view or print your annual Member Benefit Profile, click on the MyVRS Member Log-In. The link for the Member website is www.varetire.org/Members. You can also click on the VRS icon to the right.

Direct Deposit Available to All Full-Time Employees
Please note that if we are closed due to inclement weather on a pay day, paychecks will not be available until schools re-open. However, if you are enrolled in direct deposit, your paychecks will be deposited directly into the bank account of your choice on each pay date. Rain, wind, sleet or snow - your money is there! Direct deposit is safe, dependable and convenient. Call the Finance Department at 925-6754 to enroll.
HAVE YOU MOVED OR CHANGED YOUR ADDRESS?
It is very important to keep your mailing address current. Please take a moment to check your last pay stub to make sure your address is correct. If not, please complete a “Change of Status Form” and mail it back to Human Resources and notify payroll immediately.
Health Insurance - Dependent Age Limit
- Children may be covered under the Employee Plus One or Family plan until the end of the calendar year in which the child turns 23 as long as the child can be claimed as a dependent under IRS guidelines. Marriage ends a dependent’s eligibility for coverage under the parent’s contract on the last day of the month in which the marriage takes place. If you have a child that just turned 23 and they are listed on your health or dental insurance, please call Melissa Gardner at 925-6756 to complete the necessary paperwork.
